Grand Forks is very car friendly. Many properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and finding a place to park is generally easy. It is difficult for pedestrians to get around in this city because very few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Getting to the nearest grocery store by walking is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in this city. A limited number of restaurants and coffee shops are available as well. As far as education is concerned, in Grand Forks, parents and their children will commonly be able to reach both primary and secondary schools on foot. However, there are only a limited number of daycares and therefore they can be a long walk away.

Character

Grand Forks is quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several louder sections, especially close to the railway line or the airport (ZGF).
